Get to know Emily Moran, M.Ed., LPA

Emily Moran is a dedicated Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) with over six years of experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations. She specializes in assessing cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning in children and young adults (ages 3–21), utilizing a range of assessment tools to provide accurate diagnoses and personalized recommendations.

Emily earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Louisville in 2013, followed by a Master’s in Education in Counseling & Personnel Services with a concentration in Counseling Psychology in 2018. She is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology and has years of hands-on experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations within the school setting. In her previous role, she worked closely with educators and families to develop effective learning plans, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Originally from Allentown, PA, Emily moved to Louisville in 2011 to pursue her undergraduate studies. She currently resides with her boyfriend, Rob, their dog, Irie and cat, Louie. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, running (slowly), attending concerts, cheering on Louisville City FC, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family.

Emily is committed to helping children and families understand and overcome challenges. She believes a well-conducted assessment can be life-changing, providing clarity, direction, and the foundation for effective interventions.
